Q: What time should I arrive?
A: Check with your troupe leader regarding timing. Note that parking in the area can be challenging so you should allow extra time to park and walk to Kresge. Some garages are roughly a 20 minute walk away.
Q: Ok I parked and arrived. Now what?
A: When you arrive at Kresge, you'll receive a "Chaperone" badge. Please keep it on during the day so that Festival Committee members know that you're supposed to be there. Depending on when you arrive, you'll be given a tour of Kresge and then watch the dress rehearsal of the show with the kids. Note that there is no food or drink in the auditorium (except water) so please come fully caffeinated. You'll be able to eat in the lobby and the dressing rooms.
Q: What about food?
A: While there are breaks during the day, we suggest you pack enough food for lunch and snacks during the day.
Q: What are my main responsibilities?
A: Depending on your troupe leader, you'll help the kids get backstage and/or into costume and/or out of costume. You'll also help make sure the kids stay downstairs during the show instead of being in the lobby. However, one of the most important things is to ensure the dressing rooms stay clean. There will be trash bags in the rooms already and the Committee is happy to provide more if you need them.
